Filming a clip that counts
Five things that make your attempt easy to judge, whether you film yourself or a friend holds the phone.

Your opponent has to see the trick to judge it. These five habits make every clip easy to read.
- Board and feet in the frame, from the pop to the roll-away. Most disputes come from a landing that left the shot.
- Hold the phone still or prop it up. A steady frame shows more than a fast pan.
- Film from the side or a three-quarter angle. Straight from behind hides the flip.
- Light on the trick. Face the light, not into it. At night, pick a lit spot.
- Ride away. A landing counts when you roll away clean, so keep filming a second after it.
The app gives you one take for each attempt. Warm up first, then film when you are ready.
